Being from downunder myself, I have been waiting with baited breath for the performance of one of New Zealand’s premiere dub/reggae/funk bands, the mighty, mighty black seeds. The seeds did not dissapoint, rocking a crowd of about 150 eager punters at the Liquid room, located on Victoria street just down the hill from the Royal Mile. I’ve been riding the rock-revival wave of late, but not wanting to ride the wave too far and get dumped headfirst on the shores of narrow-minded musicality, I was looking forward to seeing a bit of hip hop in one of my favourite venues in Edinburgh, the Cabaret Voltaire.
